I use a combination of hand tools and battery operated power tools as much as possible to cut down on both emissions and noise. I believe that my additional focus on the way landscaping and gardening is done, and how this translates into a better experience for my clients, puts me a step ahead of the competition.

Please be aware that I have a minimum of $100 for jobs, but different services can be combined to reach this minimum (for example, weeding + edging).

General Garden Maintenance

$40 an hour
Includes weeding, pruning, hedge trimming, deadheading, watering, winter and spring bed cleanups

Ornamental Garden Installations

$1.75 per square foot
Includes bed creation when necessary, and planting plants
Physical plans and designs are a separate charge if they are desired
Price does not include the price of materials, please contact for an estimate

Garden Designs

$1.75 per square foot of planned space
Includes plant list and planting plan
Design will take into account site variables like shade/sun regime, hydrology, pest and disease pressure, and the aesthetics of the house or surrounding area
I try to choose native plants whenever possible and practical

Bed Edging and Redefinition

$0.50 per linear foot

Soil Testing

$100 for the standard fertility and nutrient test
- Use this to determine what kind of soil amendments and fertilizers you should use
- Processed at the VT Soil Testing Lab
For increased accuracy, you can split your yard into multiple zones for an extra fee. Each extra zone will add $25 to the price. For example, splitting the yard into 3 zones will cost $150 total

Flagstone Patios and Walkways

$4.00 per square foot on average, price can vary slightly due to extra site prep that may be necessary

Mulch Installation

$40 per cubic yard for mulch that is already delivered (labor only)
$80 per cubic yard of mulch not on site (material + labor)

Leaf Blowing and Raking

$40 per hour
No pickup service included, leaves will be left on your property, but I can grind up the leaves into mulch and spread that leaf mulch onto beds or in an out-of-the-way area
- Leaf mulch is a great source of nutrients for plants, and is especially good for acid lovers like azaleas and blueberries!

Invasive Removal

$40 per hour
Get rid of that English Ivy or other invasive you've always hated!

Trail Creation

$40 per hour
Nothing fancy, just something to help prevent tripping and slipping
If you have a bit of woods, or even just a bit of a slope to your yard, cutting a level path can help a lot
